My Company x is acquired by Company Y in June 2010.
I am going to India for H1 Revalidation.
I have I797 from Company x.
I have started receiving paystub's in company Y name
My question is in DS 160 form which company name do i need to fill up?

Hello,
If you have a valid dual purpose visa like H-1B, then you don't need AP to reenter US, but if your visa has expired, then you must hold AP to reenter the US. EAD is work authorization (which allows you to pursue employment without restrictions inside US), but it is not a travel authorization.

I'd suggest contacting Adobe. Surely if you have a product that supports the file-format, and an upgrade of the firmware changes that, it's part of Adobe's support package to allow an upgrade of the Raw File support.

Hi,
Can we apply for a new EAD/AP after they expire?
If so, what is the difference b/w applying for an extension vs. a new one in terms of fees/documents/photos/etc.?
The reason being I already spent $1000 for EAD/AP last yr. but never used it, and now I have bear all H1 (extension) expenses as well as employer sucked all my blood & is after my limbs after 8 years of slavery. On top of that has stopped paying salary since April.
Hence I am trying to cut corners whenever wherever possible. Any responses or help greatly appreciated.

HI,
I had my 1st H1B with a non exempt company for 1 yr then I joined a Exempt company (university) and they filed for my H1B. I am in my 8th yr of H1B with the university & recently got 3 yr H1B extension. If I want to change jobs to non exempt can I do the H1B transfer or do I have to apply a new H1B and will I be subjected to the quota restrictions.
Since I originally had H1B which was counted against a quota, couldn't the new non exempt company just transfer my H1B.
Any information is greatly appreciated.

I'm in Spain this week so can't give the full treatment, but thanks to readers who sent this happy news. The US has won the Nobel Prize in medicine for work done by these two scientists as well as Carol Greider. Blackburn is Australian-born and Szostak is British-born. My friend has his I-485 filed and has got EAD/AP, but the priority date is so behind, that he has no chance of getting a green card before his marriage. So, as I understand he should be able to bring his wife on H4 (as long as he maintains H1). My question is: does he have to re-file for I-485 to include his wife and if so will the priority date remain the same as the first application?She needs to file her own I-485 but only when PD become current. She has the same PD as primary applicant.

I need your suggestions on my situation and below is the same.
1. Priority date (04Oct2006) is current in June bulletin
2. Applied labor & I40 with previous employer.
3. Applied I485 in July 2007 ( applied I 485 before marriage) with previous employer
4. Joined other employer on Sep 2009
5. Not applied AC21 portability to new employer.
Now my priority date is going to be current as of June 1st, so need to file I-485 for my wife. Based on my situation could you please suggest the best approach to apply dependent's I485. i.e Apply dependent I485 from previous employer or through my new employer asking for AC21 along with employment verification letter).
Appreciate your help in advance.

I can't help but notice that about 1/4 of recently processed audit cases were denied. As it goes now, I'll have to wait about another 6 month for a 75% chance to pass. Well for where the economy is headed right now it all probably won't matter anymore in 6 months.

I have been working with company A since december 2005 on my OPT.
Company A filed for my H1 that was approved and the start date for this
visa is december 1st 2006 (OPT expires december 15th, 2006). I am
talking to company B that wants me to join in november but is not sure
if they can file for a transfer before my visa begins. I have looked
around in various forums but havent found a satisfactory answer.
I have pay stubs from company A but, of course, they would be dated from
before the beginning of my visa. Can I use these for my transfer
application? Is transfer even possible in my case?

Based on the posts in this forum,during POE the I-94 will say AOS pending status if you enter using AP..So i dont think it matters with AP validity date.
