The early retirement of US Senator Mel Martinez (R-FL) has opened up an appointment opportunity for Governor Charlie Crist, himself a candidate for Martinez's seat. I know that. That's why we need to cancel it. We have to travel in November and we are concerned that AP may not arrive by then. Has anyone ever cancelled I-539 before it is approved?

If you're already eligible to use AC21, then I see no problem working as consultant as long as it is of the same job category as your LC. ATP and location does not matter anymore.

I need to apply for an extension for 3 more years, i get my first H1B from 10-04-2008 to 08-31 but i'm not sure about the process to extend my H1B, i dont now if i need re-enter in the visa lottery like the first time.
Extensions don't count against yearly cap numbers. So, you can apply for the extension 6 months before your current petition expiry (feb 2011).

Valid AP is enough to travel - no one should care about your EAD if you are entering based on your AP. Ofcourse, always carry a copy of the I-485 and your wife can say that you are the primary applicant if they ask for her work status, etc...

CF card speed does matter, particularly if you shoot RAW or use the motor drive. Even going from a 24X card to a Sandisk Ultra II was amazing. Stay away from the low write speed cards.
