Hello everyone,
I have been following this forum for quite sometime now. I have an issue and need some advice on that. My husband is on EAD and i am H1. I was with company A for a almost 2 yrs and then I joined company B for a project. They applied for my h1 that came through pretty fast through premium process. the project that I was supposed to start on kind of got scrapped and no dates yet known when that would happen. Now my question is that can i go back to company A as they have a project for me and want me to join them again, if i do that compant B will cancel my H1.Please advice if there are any legal issues that might pertain on this kind of case.

I am one of those unfortunate guys who missed the July 2007 boat.
Is there any chance of the priority date getting current again (soon) like in July 2007 even for a month?

For the past few months, there have been no green cards available for persons in the employment-based third preference category (EB-3) and long backlogs in the EB-2 category for persons born in India and China. So, with few green cards to grant, why has the USCIS been scheduling interviews for persons in these categories? I just confirmed from my Lawyer that i can go back to my Previous H1 if it is not canceled or revoked by the employer. As simple as that.

I go this email on the I 140 which was filed with PERM in 2006 and was approved but this I 140 was never used.
I used another 140 based on my regular Labor filed in 2004 and got my GC a
few months back.
Today I got this email regarding the abandoned 140. What does this mean?

I got my DL reneul yesterday..there want any Visa question asked at all..??..Is texas not following DL reneual only untill your visa expiry date??..:confused:

I just got my i140 approved (Sept 24,2008 or so).
The LC was file around Apr/Jun '07 so i would assume this is the Priority date correct?
My lawyer tells me that while this is great, we still have to wait for visa numbers to become available to file the 485. Any suggestions on when is this gonna happen?
I know that this is somewhat linked to the visa bulletin ... how should i read it to understand in a few words, when is my time?
Once i've filed i485 how long does USCIS takes to process it?
On the other hand, i'm quite anxious about changing jobs. If I do, do I waste all this time invested in the process? any other way around that?
It seems like no lawyer wants to provide a straight enough answer. I know it's a lot of questions but i really appreciate it.

Currently on H1B 8th year extension which will expire on 25th June, 2009.
Labor PD: 9th August, 2004
Labor cleared: 11th September, 2007.
I-140 (approval pending) filed on 4th October, 2007. Received at USCIS on 5th October, 2007.
Can�t file for I-485 since the EB3 date for India is unavailable.
There is a high chance that I might be laid off at my current employer in the next 2-3 weeks.
Can I transfer my H-1 upto June 25th, 2009 (or later) as well as start a new PERM case in EB2 category?
In case of the above H-1 transfer, will the new H-1 be valid for 1 year from the filing or will it be upto 25th June, 2009?
What are my other options not to go out of status or leave the country?
